About Mehgan
I moved to Atlanta from Florida after graduating from college in the Summer of 2006. I quickly landed a great job working for a large corporation in a casual and fun office, but it just wasn’t satisfying to me because I couldn’t be around animals or be outside enough. I decided to make a career change and “waste” my degree, just a year out of college, and became a dog walker and pet sitter. I began taking clients immediately after leaving my job, and I quickly fell in love with being surrounded by animals all day. Not to mention I was getting more exercise than I was sitting behind a desk for eight hours a day! I started walking dogs and pet sitting full time, and it’s been more fulfilling to me than any job I could ever imagine having.
I have owned cats and dogs from a very young age. I now have a dog-daughter of my own: a 5-year-old boxer named Leeluu. She has inspired me in many ways to be more compassionate, energetic, and generous in life, because if my dog isn’t happy, I can’t be happy. Because of her, I am actively involved in the animal rescue cause, often donating time and money to helping homeless pets. I try to educate people on the importance of spaying and neutering and rescuing an animal before deciding to go to a breeder.
My life revolves around animals in any way that it can. Whether it’s helping collect donations for rescues, volunteering at fundraisers, or throwing the ball around for my dog in Inman Park, I am always thinking about animals, and I prefer it that way. I love being around pets more than the average person, so being in this business is very suitable for me. I am 100% confident in saying that I have the absolute best job in the world.
I will always give the best care that I can, and I will always update you on the status of your pet, whether your dog was a little hot on his walk today, your cat hid under the bed from me, or your dog covered me in kisses when I walked in your house.
